CitySafe
Wireless Visual & Audio Mass Notification System for Smart Cities
This product developed by Dimonoff in collaboration with Siemens provides early alerts to any individual within eye or ear-shot of the beacons in large public spaces.
Adding CitySafe to any area provides an added layer of protection, and increase citizen’s street safety, and convenience.
Improving Street Safety and Convenience
The deployment of CitySafe allows using emergency public alerts and increasing public lighting levels.
Emergency Public Alerts
- Used in areas where there is a high number of natural disasters
- Alerting citizens early to impending emergencies is critical in saving lives. CitySafe provides these alerts via an IoT connected system of nodes.
- These nodes receive alerts from local and state public safety agencies (In the USA: FEMA, the FCC, the Department of Homeland Security, and the National Weather Service).
- CitySafe can be implemented in any location, as it does not require any existing infrastructure beyond a mounting location (e.g. Utility or light pole, building, etc.)
Increased Lighting Levels
- The benefits of increased lighting have been studied numerous times in cities.
- These studies reveal that improved visibility has been shown to reduce criminal activity in a given area.
BENEFITS
CitySafe is able to provide audio and visual alerts simultaneously in real time. With a speaker instead of a siren, CitySafe can broadcast verbal alerts that specify the nature of the emergency in a manner that all can understand.
Older solutions have:
- high latency
- reduced coverage area
- are limited to coded siren alerts (residents need to understand each unique sound)
A New Way to Enhance Street Safety
Alert All Individuals
In an area to emergency situations, this benefit is provided to anyone who can see or hear the alert.
Color coded lights
Allow hearing-impaired persons to benefit from the addition of these beacons.
Reducing casualties and property damage
Alerting populations to natural disasters and other emergencies ahead of time.
Weather Alerts
People without reliable access to an internet-enabled phone or computer may miss alerts that can greatly impact them.
CitySafe System Components
The gateway allows communication between the wireless smart lighting nodes and management platform (Dimonoff | SCMS). Each gateway independently manages a group of nodes, eliminating any dependence on a central server for normal operation and making the system redundant and robust. Communications are encrypted using 128-bit AES protocol for Digi radios. The Mesh connectivity uses 128-bit OMAC1 message integrity code.
Dimonoff | SCMS is the CitySafe management platform. It provides an intuitive web interface allowing users to manage CitySafe remotely and in real time (configuration, monitoring and control). Dimonoff | SCMS also provides strong security management keeping data and networks safe.
