An intelligent, modern and scalable infrastructure was implemented, made to last over time. For a whole city, the challenge was quite large: 50,132 streetlights were covering 240 km2 on a significant number of circuits.
Several billion data points were connected. This all still works since 2012, although the technology has evolved with the stability of new radio communication systems. This is what we were looking for: scalability.
