The municipality of Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures has installed 80 smart LED no parking signs in collaboration with Dimonoff and Orange Traffic. The goal of this initiative is to improve the efficiency of the town’s snow removal operations and communication with its residents.
These connected devices can be activated by sector when a snow removal, plowing or blowing operation is planned in each area. This targeted approach enables precise coordination of snow removal efforts, contributing to more efficient management of the city’s resources.
This project combines Orange Traffic’s expertise in illuminated signage with the Dimonoff | SCMS asset management platform for a centralized asset management, enabling real-time control of these smart LED no parking signs.
Thanks to these new smart poles with LED signs, residents will be informed in real time of areas where work is planned, making it possible to anticipate parking restrictions. Previously, parking restrictions were imposed throughout the city for the duration of all snow removal operations. From now on, this restriction can be lifted as soon as a sector has completed its operations.
