Montreal Smart Street Lighting wins Smart Cities 50 Award
Smart 50 Awards - Honoring the 50 most transformative smart projects each year.
The smart street lighting project of the City of Montreal won an award in the Energy category of the prestigious “Smart Cities 50 Awards”. This competition rewards the fifty most outstanding smart projects of the year at the Smart Cities Connect Conference & Expo Symposium. Ms. Isabelle Lessard, Project Manager in street lighting for the City of Montreal was honoured yesterday in Kansas City, accompanied by Daniel Noiseux, Vice-President Business Development at Dimonoff and Catherine Roy-Cardin, Business Manager at Énergère.
This project, carried out by Énergère, involves the modernization of 132,500 LED street lights and the implementation of an intelligent lighting management system throughout the city of Montreal. In addition to requiring a single, scalable platform, Montreal has raised the level of functional and technical requirements of the system by requiring the integration of three different intelligent control suppliers. Dimonoff SCMS platform was selected to manage and control the entire lighting network. The hardware that creates the networking and communications backbone are also provided by Dimonoff, along with devices from Current by GE and Telematics Wireless.
Thanks to this system, the City of Montreal will optimize the management of its lighting network and reduce its energy consumption and maintenance costs.
Dimonoff congratulates the City of Montreal and warmly thanks its partners.
