Dimonoff | SCMS Now Supports Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT)

Dimonoff | SCMS urban asset management platform is built onto a well-documented and defined API, and today we go one step further by introducing MQTT. This new functionality provides a new tool for system administrators to easily create topics to be published to an MQTT broker. The topics can be built dynamically and can represent live data that Dimonoff | SCMS is collecting from the field assets, including as examples:

• Actual asset latitude
• Longitude
• Light level
• Alarm indication
• Maintenance-planned indication

All this information and more, is currently applicable to light controllers and gateways. This brings Dimonoff | SCMS to the next level into open data and easy integration, with 3rd party analytics and reporting tools. The choice of MQTT broker is yours but Dimonoff could also provide a cloud-based solution.

MQTT which stands for Message Queuing Telemetry Transport is an open OASIS and ISO standard (ISO/IEC 20922) messaging protocol for the Internet of Things (IoT). It is designed as an extremely lightweight publish/subscribe messaging transport that is ideal for connecting remote devices with a small code footprint and minimal network bandwidth.
